Time to reheel the Italian boot? Rome's Colosseum is leaning, too

How do you say “Don’t look now, but your country is tipping” in Italian? Not only is the Leaning Tower of Pisa leaning and Venice sinking, scientists say the Colosseum in Rome is starting to dip, with the south side now 16 inches lower than the north side of the ancient amphitheater. Experts believe a fractured concrete slab beneath the legendary landmark may be to blame, and they're weighing whether a full closure of the storied site may be necessary.
