Romney offered a college kid a job 5 minutes into the debate
10/17/2012The second presidential debate Tuesday night was a town hall format, and the first question was from nervous 20-year-old college student Jeremy Epstein, who asked the candidates what they would do to help him and other young people find jobs. Mitt Romney went first, and at the end of his answer asked Epstein when was supposed to graduate. Epstein replied 2014, to which Romney replied with a chuckle, “2014? I presume I’ll be president, and I’ll be sure to get you a job.” From that point on, the candidates mentioned Jeremy as much as humanly possible, something Twitter users noted, turning #Jeremy into a trending hashtag.
