Mitt Romney told an Ohio crowd that automaker Chrysler is sending jobs to China: "I saw a story today that one of the great manufacturers in this state, Jeep, is thinking of moving all production to China." Perhaps unsurprisingly, that's not true: The Bloomberg story Romney likely referenced said instead that Chrysler may expand to produce Jeeps in China for the Chinese market — without changing the status of its U.S. operations. "U.S. Jeep assembly lines will continue to stay in operation," a Chrysler spokesperson said. [Source]
