Ron Palillo, Horshack on 'Welcome Back, Kotter,' dead at 63
8/14/2012The world has lost another Sweathog. Ron Palillo, who played Arnold Horshack on the '70s comedy series "Welcome Back, Kotter," died in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He was 63. Early reports indicate Palillo may have died of a heart attack. Twitter users flooded the social network with messages of sadness and outpourings of love for Horshack, thanking Palillo for the laughs and calling his character one of their favorites. One user has even tried to get the hashtag #oohoohooh going as homage to Horshack's trademark eagerness to be the first to answer questions in class. Fellow cast member Robert Hegyes, who played Juan Epstein, passed away in January, also of a heart attack.[Source]
