Man tidying desk finds $1M lottery ticket, inspires us to tidy desks
11/17/2012If this doesn't get you to clean out your desk, nothing will: A retired hospice chaplain, who was organizing his work space to make room for a new computer, discovered a cache of old lottery tickets. Among them? A winning ticket — for a cool million bucks. Ron Yurcus, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., found the ticket a full two months after the August 22 drawing. Nearly as lucky was the BP station where Yurcus purchased it, earning a $10,000 prize for selling the winning Powerball ticket. "I just about screamed when I saw that I won," said Yurcus, who said he'll invest the money and share it with his wife, three children and four grandchildren. [Source]
