1/24/2013In addition to being a relentless hoaxer, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo is apparently quite the high talker. The scam artist who duped Manti Te'o into believing he had a leukemia-stricken girlfriend used a photo of an unsuspecting woman to get the Notre Dame linebacker's attention, but it was actually Tuiasosopo himself whispering sweet nothings in Te'o's ear during more than 1,000 phone calls over the course of four months. It's hard to believe a vocal gymnast with Frankie Valli skills like that couldn't get past a tryout for "The Voice," but then this whole thing has been hard to believe.
