Fresh off a failed presidential run, Roseanne returns with new sitcom
2/1/2013NBC is hoping for a rosy outcome (sorry) for its newest sitcom venture. The network announced it has signed Roseanne Barr to a contract, in which Barr would develop, produce and star in a new show. She’ll also appear in a three-episode arc of "The Office," in which she helps Ed Helms' character Andy Bernard realize his showbiz dreams. Barr nearly ended up on NBC last year, when her pilot for "Downwardly Mobile" got picked up, but the network never produced it as a series. Too bad, as it would have reunited with her "Roseanne" co-star John Goodman, which is never a bad thing. Let's hope in her new series, no one wins the lottery. [Source]
