Do our dogs understand the meanings of the words we say? That question is being hotly debated on Reddit after someone posted a video of his dog responding to phrases uttered in Russian. According to one Redditor, when the guy in the video says, "Give it back," the dog gets pissed. Then the guy says, "Let's go outside" and the dog is happy. "If [dogs] can perceive the sounds of their owners emotionally, doesn't that suggest … they do indeed know the meanings of words?" wonders one commenter.
