@DRogozin What are you saying, that you are an expert in the behavior of prostitutes? I'd have thought a politician would be more discreet.

@DRogozin Is this how diplomats in Russia express their disagreement with someone? #FreePussyRiot #LgbtRights

Is Madonna an 'ex-wh*re'? This Russian official thinks so

8/11/2012

When Russian official Dmitry Rogozin, described as a senior ally of president Vladimir Putin, tweeted in English about an "ex-wh*re" who "tends to lecture with age," he didn't mean just any ex-whore: The tweet was likely aimed at America’s very own Madonna. Why? The singer — like many others in the music industry, including Sting, Bjork and the Red Hot Chili Peppers — expressed support for jailed Russian punk band Pussy Riot, whose detention is widely seen as politically motivated. While Rogozin’s tweet unleashed a highest-ever level of appreciation for Madonna on Twitter, the singer herself has remained mum in the face of Russian aggression, though she did tweet "Free Pussy Riot" on Tuesday.
