Ryan Gosling is horribly disfigured (but not permanently — phew)

Hey girl, calm down. Ryan Gosling’s beautiful face is only temporarily ruined, in a just-released poster for the heartthrob’s next film. Shot in Bangkok, "Only God Forgives"  stars Gosling as a reluctant gangster who must settle a score in a Thai-boxing match — hence the stud’s badly beaten mug. The film is Gosling’s second collaboration with Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed the thinking woman’s hunk in "Drive." It may distress some people to see Gosling with such a damaged face, but console yourself with the thought of seeing his greased-up legs and rippling torso in a boxing ring very soon. [Source]
