Ryan Lanza posts on Facebook: 'Let my brother rest in peace' [UPDATED]

A week after the Newtown massacre, Ryan Lanza spoke out in defense of his brother and himself: "I am a victim. I [lost] my mom and brother." He shared a picture of his mother, Nancy, as well as a picture of the brother who killed her and 26 others, captioning it, "R.I.P, I will miss you bro. I will always love you as long as I live." Ryan responded sharply to the vitriol his brother's crimes have inspired on social media, including on Ryan's own accounts. He addressed one post that called Adam Lanza the "scum of the earth" by saying, "…you have no right to call my brother names when he isn't here no more. Just let my brother rest in peace. Please. UPDATE: The Lanza family says that the Facebook chat and posts about Adam Lanza are a hoax, and that Ryan Lanza neither spoke with the New York Post nor wrote these comments about his family on Facebook.
