12/24/2012The Lanza family has spoken out to correct The New York Post, the source on a widely spread story Sunday that Ryan Lanza had mourned his mother and brother on Facebook. The Lanza family says an impostor, not Ryan, conducted a Facebook chat with the Post. They say the messages defending his brother, Newtown gunman Adam Lanza, and demanding the public let him rest in peace are also a hoax. It wouldn't be the first time Ryan's Facebook profile has made headlines for confusing news sources — it provided the first images published around the Internet when Ryan was misidentified as the Sandy Hook shooter. Later reports said that Adam Lanza was carrying his brother's ID at the time of the shooting. [Source]
