Two dogs kept lost boy warm in freezing temperatures
1/11/2013When Ryle Smith, 6, went missing in the woods near his house near Seneca, Mo., he was lucky enough to have companions who kept him warm as temperatures dropped below freezing: his family's two dogs, Baxter and Bella. A five-hour search began after Ryle went missing, and shortly before 10 p.m., with temperatures already in the low 20s, he was found in a ditch with the two dogs on top of him, sharing their warmth. Ryle said he wasn't scared during the ordeal, just really cold. "Bella was my guard dog, and Baxter was next to me the whole time," he said. [Source]
