Teen unconcerned with popularity starts modesty club at high school

12/8/2012

A California teenager has started a "modesty club" to encourage covering up — three years after her brother got "death threats and bomb threats and the calls and all the chaos" for starting a "No Cussing Club." Propriety is something of a cottage industry for the Hatch family of South Pasadena: Dad Brent co-authored the book "Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World" with wife Phelecia, and son McKay founded the aforementioned No Cussing Club in 2009. Saige Hatch's Modesty Club has only 17 student members at South Pasadena High School, but she says that more than 1,000 people worldwide have joined via the club's website. [Source]
