This is nuts: Bungling docs remove wrong testicle from cancer patient2/20/2013
Is there a Hallmark card that says, "We're really sorry that we surgically removed the wrong testicle"? Because the medical staff at one hospital in Salisbury, England, should probably all sign it. An unnamed man who was undergoing surgery for cancer says that doctors took out his one healthy testicle and didn't realize their mistake for almost 40 minutes. They stitched it back into place (and yes, we just crossed our legs, too), but now the man fears he'll never be able to father children and is suing for compensation. "We can confirm this incident took place," the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said. "The trust offers its sincere apologies." Oh, they're sorry? That totally makes up for it. [Source]
