Climate change means more lucky people get to see this weird creature

2/18/2013

Just before the alien apocalypse, little jellyfish creatures will begin appearing. Unfortunately for the human race (at least in the Pacific Northwest), it looks like they might have landed in Washington and Oregon. Locals have been finding mysterious, never-before-seen gelatinous sea creatures on the shores and in crab pots. In true alien-like form, they have greenish horns and goo-covered bodies. The marine blobs are actually called sea salp and more commonly found in other parts of the coastal nation and world. But they've never been spotted in the Northwest before, and eco experts are attributing their sudden proliferation to climate change. Local beachcombers, meanwhile, have begun scouting out the novelty creatures for fun and posting pics to Twitter. [Source]
