Mystery Dali etching found at Goodwill is now up for auction
11/16/2012You never know what you'll find at Goodwill. Mixed in with the bulky old TVs, ugly holiday sweaters and innumerable glass vases at a Tacoma Goodwill was a Salvador Dali etching, dropped off by a mystery donor. Eagle-eyed staff noticed the piece, "Reflection," and investigated further, ultimately placing it for sale on the store's online auction site rather than with the shop's in-store art collection. Bidding opened at $999, and the price at the moment is more than $7,500. Goodwill staff say proceeds from the sale will go to the organization's job-training initiatives. [Source]
