Digital age deprives puppies of a place to pee
1/29/2013It's like some kind of scatological Zen koan: If newsprint dies in the digital age, what will puppies do their business on? It turns out that's a serious question. Thanks to the rise of tablets and smartphones, San Francisco's Animal Care & Control is facing a shortage of recycled newspaper needed to potty-train their puppies. It's gotten so bad the agency is now relying on donations from local newspapers, everyday Luddites and now the San Francisco Public Library to line their puppies' cages. Animal control picks up the library's papers twice a month. Here's hoping it picks up the puppies' dirty papers more often. [Source]
