It's harder than ever to smoke in public these days. In many large cities, it's a no-no in bars and restaurants. And you definitely don't want to do it in your car. That makes one of the only safe places to light up the comfort of your own home. But go outside really quick and check your address. Is it in the California city of San Rafael? If it's a duplex, condo or other multi-family home within that city, it's now illegal to smoke there too following the city council's unanimous ban this week.
