It's difficult to fathom the grieving and recovery process that surviving students, teachers and administrators of Sandy Hook Elementary School have ahead of them following Friday's tragedy. But they have, at least, been spared from returning to the scene of the crime, maybe forever. Work crews in Newtown, Conn., are readying a vacant middle school about 15 minutes away from Sandy Hook, hoping to have work completed by Wednesday, though no date for the students' return has been set. Police will be stationed at the new school and the news media barred, though one camera crew will be allowed to unobtrusively shoot video. Police said the town wanted to keep the kids together because they "need to support each other." [Source]
