12/14/2012Though we can never fully understand the pain and confusion of the students and faculty at Sandy Hook Elementary today, or comprehend the depravity of the shooter(s) who attacked this elementary school in Connecticut, millions of Americans across the country are glued to Twitter and social media this morning trying to get a clear picture of the events that are now unfolding. Tweets from the Newtown community and its neighbors are filled with shock, sorrow and outrage, and firsthand information is being examined and retweeted by parents impatient to comprehend the scope of the situation. It’s hard for any of us to stop thinking about a school that, until today, could have been indistinguishable from any in our own communities.
