New York Giants honor shooting victims with helmet tribute

12/16/2012

Big Blue will bring a little class to the NFL this Sunday. Out of respect for their Connecticut fans still reeling from Friday’s school shooting, the New York Giants will wear a decal on their helmets to honor the victims of the tragedy. NFL.com reports that each G-Man who takes the field against the Atlanta Falcons will wear the initials of Sandy Hook Elementary School on the back of their helmets, as a gesture of support to the grieving community of Newtown. Much of Connecticut is in the New York metro area, and many of the Giants' most passionate fans reside in the state.
