Sandy victim leaves note in stranger's house: 'Tell my dad I love him'
11/6/2012When Christine Treglia returned to her New Jersey home after Hurricane Sandy, she found a note written by a stranger. "I had to break in your house," it began. "I have hypothermia. … I don't think I'm going to make it." The letter-writer, identified only as Mike, left his dad's phone number and told Treglia to "tell my dad I love him." But Mike DID make it, an unbelievable ending to a harrowing story that began when he was pulled into the bay by a storm surge that had destroyed his own home. After leaving Treglia's ("I'm like, I ain't dying like this," he said), Mike, who is still "pretty shaken up," was later reunited with his father. [Source]
