The White House makes two references to 'Santa Clause'
12/10/2012Someone in the White House can expect some coal in their stocking. Their naughty act? Misspelling Santa’s name. Twice. Last week, the White House issued a transcript of President Obama’s remarks at the National Christmas Tree lighting. In it, Santa Claus is repeatedly spelled “Santa Clause.” Naturally, this made good fodder for online criticism, with blame landing on everyone from the vice president (“I think Joe Biden has taken over spelling duties at the White House”) to Tim Allen and Congress (“The Santa Clause referenced by White House is actually related to fiscal cliff.
