Santorum says, 'Friends don't let friends use pink balls'
3/29/2012Rick Santorum is "quite the bowler", according to his spokesman. He took Bowling 101 at Penn State and has his own bowling ball - but we're guessing it isn't pink. During a bowling outing in Wisconsin, Santorum told a college student sharing his lane that he couldn't use a pink ball. "We're not gonna let you do that," he said, according to Reuters reporter Sam Youngman. "Not on camera. Friends don't let friends use pink balls." Apparently a pastel-hued ball wasn't manly enough for the candidate who is so hardcore his sweaters don't even have sleeves. "[Santorum is] advancing tired gender norms by implying a boy should be ashamed to use a certain color bowling ball," scolded the Human Rights Campaign.
What's up with Santorum's anti-pink stance?
