Woman wins the right to flip the bird in her Christmas lights
12/21/2012For Sarah Childs of Denham Springs, La., Christmas is a time to festoon your home in lights and flip the bird at your neighbors in one fell swoop. After her neighbors and the police repeatedly tried to end her light display in the shape of a raised middle finger, Childs sued the city. A judge has now ruled in her favor, saying the city interfering in her holiday lights violates her rights to free speech. When Childs last erected her lights after being forced to take them down, she added a second hand with an extended middle finger. Will there be a third hand this time? [Source]
