Satanists claim theft of 'Vote Satan' sign was a hate crime

A pair of Colorado Satanists are demanding that police investigate the removal of a political poster from their front yard as a hate crime, saying they were targeted because of their religious beliefs. So what'd the missing sign say? "Vote Satan," naturally. Luigi and Angie Bellaviste say they belong to the Church of Satan, and Luigi argues that had a Star of David or "a verse from the Koran" been damaged, the act would be considered a hate crime. The couple's yard is also decorated with a painted-black Christmas tree, an assortment of skulls and the good ol' 666, which apparently are much less gaudy than a Vote Satan sign.
