It depicts Saturn, photographed by NASA's Cassini orbiter as it zipped through the ringed planet's shadow in October. "Of all the many glorious images we have received from Saturn, none are more strikingly unusual than those we have taken from Saturn's shadow," wrote Carolyn Porco, director of the Cassini Imaging Team.
