School to hand out condoms to lucky, hopeful prom-goers

Laid back administrators at one Brooklyn high school know that getting laid on prom night happens. So instead of disingenuously asking hormonal hordes of horny teens to abstain, Bedford-Stuyvesant Preparatory High School is asking their students to use their heads by making condoms available at its June 7 prom. Condoms have been available at the school for three years, but it is the first time they'll be distributed at prom, following a safe-sex assembly. Such pragmatism overlooks the couples who aren't yet intimate, and who should expect a REALLY awkward post-lecture chat. "So ... should we, um ... grab one just in case?"
