Seventh-grade teacher is behind bright idea to 'lasso' student

We're betting the seventh-grade teacher behind this classroom activity thought this was a great idea at some point: The unnamed history teacher decided to actually lasso running students in an effort to really bring home a lesson on "how cowboys would corral maverick steers back into the herd," a school district spokesman said. A 13-year-old student at Schrade Middle School in Rowlett, Texas, went home with bruises — which his parents say have only gotten worse over the past few days. The teacher has since been suspended, and police are considering criminal charges. [Source]
