Science proves dogs really are like their owners
5/29/2012Have you ever just blithely assumed that the owner of the rabid Irish wolfhound next door that tries to tear through the fence and chew out your knees every time you walk by was kind of a d***? Well, you're probably right. According to researchers (yup, them guys again), at the U.K.'s University of Leicester, people who were generally less agreeable and "quicker to become hostile" favored aggressive dogs as pets, confirming that people's choice of pet mirrors their world view and the image they like to portray. Owners of cocker spaniels were at the opposite end of the scale to people who owned bull terriers and boxers.
