Scientist declares creationism will soon be extinct
5/27/2012Anthropologist Richard Leakey declares that creationism will soon be extinct, and says he's got the proof. The Stony Brook University professor predicts that within 15 to 30 years the proof of evolution will manifest itself in a way that "even the skeptics can accept it." His boast is based partially on fossils he has unearthed in Africa with the Turkana Basin Institute in Kenya with his wife and his daughter; fossils which he says go a long way toward proving the "theory" of evolution. While Leakey is an avowed atheist, he said he is not attacking religion, just bad math. "If you tell me, well, people really need a faith... I understand that," he said.
Do you believe evolution will ever be fully accepted?
