Grandpa banned from using Scientology to treat disabled boy
12/17/2012A fight has erupted online after an Australian court banned a grandpa from using Scientology methods to treat his developmentally delayed grandson. The grandfather, whose name has not been released, allegedly used "intrusive and abusive" treatment on his daughter when she was a child, including "emotional release therapy" that involved "reliving her birth." Reddit user Vitruvious said, "Good on that court for putting reason before faith," yet alexkh150 noted, "I would believe that Scientology methods work as well as homeopathic medicine." What, Masuabie pointed out, "would [have] happened if the grandfather wanted to treat the kid with Christian methods? Nothing, that's what." AliasUndercover simply said: " So he's been banned from using alien magic. I'm sort of OK with this." [Source]
