Cool 'smartphone shoe' offers way to ring your buddy's Reeboks

"Oh, pardon me. That sound? Yes, that's just my shoe ringing." The cool, if bizarre, smartphone concept looks like a mega-sized cell phone from the 1980s, combined with a game of play "Telephone." But the prototype, put together by Sean Miles of the UK's Designworks, is very a real thing and gaining viral traction. Demand is increasing for "wearable technology" -- things like Google glasses, phone watches, and clothes that flash Twitter updates. The shoe phone could offer that, as well as an innovative way to recycle old mobile phones. Although it will be tricky to step outside to take the call.
