'Secret Santa' delights Sandy victims with random gifts of cash
11/30/2012Christmas has come early for folks in Sandy-ravaged neighborhoods in N.Y. and N.J., where a self-styled "Secret Santa" has been handing out hundred-dollar bills. Emotions ran high during the anonymous Kansas City, Mo., businessman's visit. Carol Hefty, a 72-year-old retiree whose home in Elizabeth, N.J. was damaged by storms broke down when "Santa" gave her $100 at a disaster center. As he walked the streets handing out cash and Christmas cheer, he told reporters his plan to give out $100,000 over the holiday season is not about the money. "It's about the random acts of kindness," he said. [Source]
