See a baby chimp cuddle up to its adoptive canine family

These amazing pictures are the result of an unlikely adoption. According to a poster on Reddit, a chimpanzee died at a zoo, leaving her baby chimp to care for itself. A zookeeper adopted the chimp and took him home -- where, in a striking example of interspecies collaboration, the zookeeper's dog promptly adopted the chimp, raising him alongside her own puppies. As these images prove, the chimp quickly found a place for himself in this canine family: eating, sleeping and playing alongside his new friends. It's an incredibly happy story, though maybe not all the time for the mama dog, who frankly looks a little worn out here. ​
