See the most spectacular night view of Earth from space
7/23/2012Time-lapse videos from space are nothing new, but the latest one, by New Mexico photographer Knate Myers, is truly stunning. Myers used photos taken from the International Space Station and pumped them up in Photoshop to compile this awe-inspiring video, edited in Sony Vegas. The video looks part-video game, part-"Star Wars" movie, and the music doesn’t hurt either. Myers chose "Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor)" by John Murphy, which was, appropriately, used in the soundtrack of the 2007 movie "Sunshine," about a team of astronauts attempting to re-ignite the dying sun to protect the Earth. Make sure you don’t miss the end of the video — at around 3:12 the Earth lights up, reminding us it's definitely worth saving.
