Get a load of the monster quads on this German cyclist
7/29/2012On your left is German road cyclist André "Gorilla" Greipel, known for his sprinting -- and his tree-trunk legs. But Greipel's legs look like bean stalks compared to the legs of track cyclist and fellow countryman Robert Förstemann, on the right, who appears to be smuggling whole loaves of bread in each leg. The picture was tweeted by New Zealand cyclist Greg Henderson during a spontaneous "quad off" the Germans held while enjoying a light moment before the Games. It appears that Förstemann has been hitting the weights since he won the Team Sprint at the 2010 European Elite Track Cycling Championships, where his leg size was only, well, slightly alarming.
