Seriously peeved fans kill soccer match by setting fire to stadium

Booing is usually a strong enough hint for players to get the message about the mood of the spectators. But soccer fanatics in Senegal weren't into anything so subtle when their team fell hopelessly behind rival Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations qualifier. The riotous home crowd set fires in the stands and hurled stones, bottles, cans and even chairs at players before security personnel could evacuate them from the pitch in Dakar. Ivory Coast fans also had to be moved to the field for their protection, and Senegal sports minister El Hadji Malik Gakou was hit by a rock. The match was terminated and Senegal was eliminated, with further sanctions likely. [Source]
