Senior class says farewell by welding a truck to their school
5/19/2012A teacher always feels rewarded by the work of particularly apt students. Welding was an addition to the curriculum at Liberty Bell High School in the town of Winthrop, Wash., this year and the Class of 2012 decided to show what they learned -- by splitting an old pickup truck down the middle, then welding it back together around a column in front of the school. Good-humored school officials allowed the senior prank to stand for a day before having the students dismantle it. If only the truck had belonged to the principal, it would have been an epic but classic gag.
