The sequester could force pampered Congress to start flying commercial

2/25/2013

If you thought you would have it bad if the sequester goes into effect on March 1, just think about the horror facing Congress. Along with possible pay cuts, the budget cuts might force the nation's lawmakers to stop taking Air Force jets and start flying commercial. Air Force Secretary Michael Donley said Friday that if the government-wide cuts aren't avoided, the short lines, easy check-ins and business-class seats that Air Force jets provide to Congressional flyers could all disappear. This adding to Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood’s warning that the sequester could cause major airline backups nationwide as air-traffic control and the TSA could both face cuts. [Source]
