Owners of former presidential yacht are in hot water, ask for help
2/6/2013Remember the good old days, when men were men, women were women and U.S. presidents had yachts? Yeah, neither do we. But a relic of that time has just sailed back into the news. The owners of the 104-foot former presidential yacht Sequoia, used by presidents Herbert Hoover through Jimmy Carter, who had it sold in 1977, are trying to keep their boat afloat. They've asked a Delaware judge to rule in their favor against a creditor they claim has caught them in a "dastardly" plot to seize the yacht, now docked a mile south of the U.S. Capitol and available for charter. Is it us, or are people with yachts the only ones who use words like "dastardly"? [Source]
