Frustrated Serena Williams beats living daylights out of her racket
1/23/2013People are calling Serena Williams' Australian Open elimination a "shocker" after she was knocked out by U.S. teen Sloane Stephens, a player young enough to have grown up with a poster of Serena on her bedroom wall. After all, it's the 15-time Grand Slam winner's first loss since August, snapping her 20-game winning streak. Even more shocking might be Williams' treatment of her poor racket: She smashed it, bashed it and, ultimately, chucked the battered game implement out of her sight. "This is so crazy," Stephens said of her win. "I think I'll put a poster of myself [up] now." [Source]
