Seth MacFarlane jokes about blacks, gays and boobs in Oscars opener

There were no Hitler jokes during Seth MacFarlane's opening Oscars monologue, but there was plenty of race and domestic violence ribbing, as well as cocaine-snorting sock puppets, and MacFarlane as the Flying Nun. In his quest to "make Tommy Lee Jones laugh," the "Family Guy" funnyman bantered with William Shatner, who came back from the future on a drop-down monitor to instruct MacFarlane how to improve his opener. MacFarlane’s indignant response to Capt. Kirk: comparing “Django Unchained” to a Chris Brown/Rihanna date, lauding Denzel Washington for being “hilarious” in “all those ‘Nutty Professor’ movies,” and wondering whether stay-in-character actor Daniel Day-Lewis would have tried to free Don Cheadle if he had run across him during “Lincoln.” There was also a charming number dedicated to actresses entitled “We Saw Your Boobs.” The biggest audience reaction, though, came when "Kirk" informed a chagrined MacFarlane that he would indeed be a member of the Los Angeles Gay Men's Chorus in a few years.
