Sexual harassment isn't illegal in France, at least for now
5/5/2012Get ready to use your sick days, hot people of France, because French office life might just get a whole lot creepier. Weary legislators just repealed France's sexual harassment law, throwing out all ongoing sexual harassment cases and leaving no bans against harassment in place while they define a more clear-cut definition of what is criminal behavior. So for the next couple of months, if not longer, it's basically a field day in France for the pervs. French feminists are up in arms (as they probably should be), and we have to wonder if things will regress to a "Mad Men"-like office climate. Will co-workers take this opportunity to legally pinch butts and provocatively eat baguettes? We certainly hope not.
Do you think sexual harassment will run rampant in France?
