Sharon Osbourne confronts cancer fears with double mastectomy
11/5/2012"America's Got Talent" judge Sharon Osbourne has revealed she is taking no chances when it comes to her health. In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Osbourne, 60, announced she has undergone a double mastectomy after discovering she carries a gene that increases her chances of developing breast cancer. The 60-year-old said: "I've had cancer before and I didn't want to live under that cloud. I decided to just take everything off, and had a double mastectomy." Sharon's op comes just months after her son Jack (who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis) had a daughter. Sharon added "I want to be around for a long time and be a grandmother to Pearl."
