Sheep-hating, serial-killer bear nabbed in Montana

6/30/2012

A serial killer has been stalking the Montana prairie. The good news is it's a bear -- unless you're a sheep, in which case that's really, really bad news, though even for them, there's a silver lining: The predator, a female grizzly, has been stopped. The bear spree killer — who attacked 70 sheep but only ate two of them — was relocated by wildlife authorities, along with her cub (who reportedly didn't take any part in the sheep massacre), to the depressing-sounding Frozen Lake, near the British Columbia border. "Sometimes the predatory instinct of grizzly bears just kicks in and they go to killing livestock," a U.S.D.A. Wildlife Service's spokesperson told Fox News.
