Sheriff takes inmate on golf outing to improve his swing
4/5/2012Los Angeles County sheriff captain Jeff Donahue is under investigation for taking an inmate out of lockup and bringing him to a nearby golf course so that he could get golf lessons. That's right - Donahue had a golf outing in Palm Springs coming up, and inmate Frank Carrillo had been a tour pro in Canada before he determined it was easier to make money stealing jewelry, including a World Series ring belonging to a former Dodger. Carrillo fixed his jailer's game ("He kind of has this swing that's old school and risky"), but now Donahue is in a different type of hole.
