Simon Cowell is now $20,000 poorer thanks to 'X-Factor' bet
12/22/2012Simon Cowell may not have enjoyed "The X-Factor's" finale this Thursday. Apparently, the judge and producer of the show lost a $20,000 bet to fellow judge and record producer L.A. Reid. At the beginning of the season, Cowell and Reid bet each other 20 large that they would mentor the winning act, but it was L.A.'s Tate Stevens who received the highest number of votes and the X-Factor title. Still, Cowell probably isn't too broken up about the whole incident; he still made around $90 million last year, and the show's finale had 9.6 million viewers. Cowell can probably afford to lose a few more bets without breaking the bank. [Source]
