Siskel and Ebert played patty-cake before every show
3/22/2012It's no secret that Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel didn't always get along, but the two did have a playful, friendly side. The two started each taping of "At the Movies" with a complex game of patty-cake, according to a new oral history obtained by Slate. Citing sources who were close to the two during the show's production, Slate says their version of patty-cake was quite involved and included "complicated hand/knee slaps and everything."
